Horror - Upcoming Horror

So if you're all still here and the world hasn't actually ended, here's a couple of trailers for you that some of you may have missed...
Los Infectados

Rabies (Israeli horror film)

One Way Trip (Germany does 3D Shrooms)

Grimm (NBC's new series for the Fall) Warning full of MASSIVE spoilers - Do not watch till the end if you don't want to know how the first episode ends!

Provided they don't pull any punches, and make it too kiddie-friendly a la Buffy and Angel, this looks quite good.

Behind The Walls (French ghost story)

Hypothermia (Sort of Creature From The Icy Lagoon)

The River (ABC's new spooky Amazon based series)

Inkubus (A bit of silliness from Robert Englund)

Apologies for the lack of subtitles on some of these.

  1. First off...

Rabies looks fantastic. Though, I'm not sure if it's really Israel's first horror film. The first Israeli zombie movie, titled, "Another World." was made last year. Still, this looks brilliant.

One Way Trip looks good as well. Some of the best films I've seen in recent years have come from Germany.

Grimm looks decent, though the trailer shows the entire pilot episode. I'm willing to give it a chance.

I need to see "Behind the Walls." Laetitia Casta, 'nuff said. I've talked about this a bit on my show. I'm eagerly awaiting it.

As for The River--DAMN, that looks good!

Inkubus looks like it'll just be some good old Englund slasher fun.

Hypothermia? It's beginning to look a lot like fishmen. Dagon must be in a mood.

Brilliant update! I appreciate seeing this tailers. Now, I want to indulge in some new cinema and telly.

  2. Thanks for the info on Rabies Johnny, it was just the description on youtube that described as Israels first horror. Who'd have thought, something written on the internet turned out not ot be entirely acurate!
Never mind, I updated the post and removed the erroneous fact, thus making you look mad and not me. Har har.
And you're right about Grimm. Why show the entire plot, including the ending in the trailer? So I've put a spoiler alert there.

  3. No worries. I always look mad as a hatter anyway.

I think the reason they showed the entire pilot in the trailer, is that NBC is REALLY desperate for this show to work. Horror on network TV is kind of going through a slump right now. The Walking Dead is a notable exception. Since Grimm isn't based on a popular comic, or other source, it's success is a bit of a long shot.

Oddly enough, I recently saw a trailer for The Playboy Club (also coming to NBC this fall). In that trailer they give away a major plot point involving the lead character, played by the lovely Amber Herd. I guess NBC is afraid that ambiguity will scare people off.
